It used to be with art that you had to train a decent amount just to get to the level of "mediocre." What these programs did was lower the barrier of entry to the point of "press-button - get mediocre."

But the button pusher and the sharpie-on-a-neon-sign guy still have the same undeveloped eye for aesthetics...

So what you get instead of this egalitarian, "beautiful art is for everyone" ideal, that they're trying so hard to push, you just reset the floor. Congrats Chat-GPTers, you're the new rock-bottom.

Humans value human effort. Nothing will ever replace the value of human capital. Ingenuity. Sweat equity. Brush mileage. Recognize that and you won't get left behind.
