The thing about being in the mountains in Colorado at this time of the year is that it rains almost every day. This was not something we were totally aware of. I've spent a few weeks in Telluride a few years ago so I knew that it rains in the summer, but it was never a day-after-day thing there. So far there have been breaks in the rain for a couple of hours at a time, which is when we have to go out to paint. It's making us appreciate the windows of opportunity that we have for plein air and being ready for it.
