This painting was of a scene I've walked by almost a hundred times, I would say. The only reason I hadn't done it before was because it's on one of the main trails of a pretty busy park. I'm not someone who loves to paint in populated areas (hello, fellow introverts) so I usually prefer to find out-of-the-way spots. But this spot is almost always beautiful no matter what time of the day, or lighting situation. So sometimes you gotta sacrifice a bit of comfort for your art!
