Our friend Judson's in-laws have an amazing rose garden in their backyard and we took this opportunity to have a nice spring day painting in it. Flowers can be very difficult to take on their variance in color and value within the petals, so I think the key is to limit the amount of colors in the transitions. Probably no more than two different colors per area.
