Vanessa and I have been flirting with the idea of painting this subject for weeks! We finally got around to it, and we both did a good job on it, I would say! I really took my time to get all the detail and just went piece by piece on it after I established all the large shapes. It's really fun to paint these old weathered subjects by the sea. So much history and character! Hard as an artist to see these subjects and not want to paint them.
 
I'm trying to get better used to this Indigo Artpaper sketchbook. The texture is sooo prominent! I think it works well for subjects where texture is very important to capture the texture.
